Today the People's Commissariat of State Security has rounded up several hundreds of enemies of the people who were hiding in the countryside, planning to engage in counterrevolutionary warfare. Amongst the captives are Stolypin, who served as Prime Minister under the reactionary government that was overthrown in the Revolution, and General Wrangel, one of the most well-known reactionary military officers. They will be brought to a the Supreme Revolutionary Tribunal in the capital Narodgrad to stand trial for crimes against the People, crimes against humanity, counterrevolutionary conspiracy and high treason.

From the People's Commissariat of State Security

Signed,

People's Commissar Natasha Volkova

The main opposition party in the Supreme Soviet, the Conservative Party, has yesterday decided to dissolve itself after allegations of counterrevolutionary activity were raised against the party's leadership. No charges will be pressed in court at the moment, but the dissolution of the Conservative Party is noted and accepted by the Revolutionary Government. The same fate was also the case for the Liberal Party, one of the minor parties in the Supreme Soviet that held only two seats.

Because of the dissolution of the Conservatives, 64 seats were empty in the Supreme Soviet, making a new election necessary.

The newest election of the Supreme Soviet that was held today generated a huge win for the Communist Party of Rodina. In total, the Party won 432 seats in the 500-seat Supreme Soviet, translating into a stunning 86.4% majority. The recently founded and relatively new Socialist Party succeeded in receiving 4 seats in the Soviet, while the Peasant Party, containing many former Liberals, won 6 seats in their first electoral participation. Notable is also the result of the Ecologist Party, which is the new name that the Greens took on for this election. This party, the only party alongside the Communists that is not newly founded, suddenly increasing their seat count from 24 to 58, becoming the second largest party by a large margin.

The elections are a huge succes for the Communist Party, that is even further strengthened by new statistics that show government satisfaction to be over 80% and overall population happiness to be around the same level. Truly the Revolution has bolstered the proud People of Rodina in their freedom and patriotic pride!

To General Secretary Cherdenko,

Welcome to the big kids table, Mr Cherdenko. We are pleased to note that you do not seem to have followed the same path as the so-called "Democracies", they cannot be trusted beyond the next election. The Dominate of Drakia would be interested in establishing an embassy within your nation, so as to establish a mutually beneficial relationship.

Regards, Archon Beauregard

Indeed, good sir. The people of Rodina know that the true democracy is democratic control of the means of production.

We would welcome the embassy of the Dominate of Drakia with open arms, as we seak good and friendly relations with our neighbours. Your ambassadorial personnel is very much welcome.

Anatoly Cherdenko

General Secretary of the Communist Party

Supreme Ruler of Rodina

The old military transport, not really useful for anything else these days, came to a stop at Rodina's capital, Narodgrad. The Dominate's representative watched this foreign city looming in the distance, trying to take in every detail. The representative didn't like going in so blind, but Krypteria (Foreign Intelligence) had almost nothing on this new country, beyond the fact that it was fairly authoritarian, and followed a doctrine called "Communism". All they knew at this point that it made great pains to emphasize patriotism and loyalty to the State, which would suit the Dominate of Drakia well if the cards were played right.

The world was becoming more dangerous, while gaining Osea as a friend, or at least a reliable partner, it knew the powerful states of Germania and the New Imperium had signed an alliance while Pandion, while quiet, still lurked to the west, beyond the now anarchic lands of New Burland. The rival Militarist Party had been carrying on about "encirclement" and "containment", while the truth was somewhat different, the government felt something needed to be done.

And so surrounded by a sizable contingent of Citizen Force troopers and diplomatic staff, Deputy Foreign Minister Johann Eriksen- having finally been able to return to duty, stepped onto the tarmac and approached the waiting delegation.

Anatoly Cherdenko sat down at his desk and sighed. People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs Dasha had just reported the arrival and reception of a delegation from the Dominate of Drakia, far in the West. Sympathetic people, no doubt. But the Ministry for State Security's report on the country itself were less flattering. Serfdom? Subjugated conquered tribes as de facto slaves... this was a problem for a strictly principelled Marxist like himself.

He had done his best to hide this though, the welcoming of the Dominate representative in Narodgrad went pretty well. Hee seemed to have a great deal of admiration for anything that concerned "the state" and authority. Strange enough, it seemed to Cherdenko that the term authoritarianism, so often used against him by weak-minded free-market liberals, was interpreted as something positive by the Drakians. The visit to the Narodgrag Kremlin went quite good, and he had to bear in mind that this Dominate had defended Rodina in the discussion with the Imperials.

Ah yes, the Imperials. This "New Imperium" as it called itself. Banned all forms of Communist organisation almost immediately after hearing from Rodina's existance. The leaked documents were clear: this "Empire" was a threat to Rodina, and would rejoice to see our glorious People's Republic burn. That's why the entire nation has been sealed of to anyone of Imperial nationality or dissent. Cherdenko knew very well the threat that espionage can bring to a country. And it was this Dominate, this Spartan-style state, that was the first to defend Rodina against the imperialist tone of the Imperium. It seemed like he had little choice but to return their kind behaviour towards Rodina. For the sake of the Revolution, friendly relations with the Dominate seemed the best way to go.
